President’s Message

Greetings from the San Fernando Valley Alumnae (SFVA) Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and welcome to our official website! This online resource is designed to inform you about our Chapter’s current activities and to salute the glorious history of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on a national, regional and local level.

SFVA is comprised of more than 50 college-educated, dedicated women who are committed to public service in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, and Burbank communities.

As we enter our 41st year of service, I am humbled and consider it a great honor and privilege to serve as Chapter President of SFVA in these wonderful communities. Under my leadership, SFVA will continue to strive in Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service centering our public service programs on Delta’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement.

We at SFVA are dedicated to bringing impactful programs to our communities such as: the African-American College Planning Conference (AACPC), Delta GEMS, fundraising to provide scholarships, and other events to raise mental health, political and financial awareness to empower and elevate our communities.

SFVA welcomes and is open to collaborating and partnering with other organizations to strengthen and empower the communities we serve.

I encourage you to learn more about us by visiting our website www.sfvadeltas.org and returning often for updates– because there is always something positive going on at SFVA-DST!

SFVA Deltas are proud to serve you!

Yours in Friendship and Service,

Carlin Hafiz
President
