San Fernando Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The San Fernando Valley Alumnae Chapter works to continue the legacy of our Founders through our commitment to public service. Our programs are designed to parallel our Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust and Social Action initiatives.  We welcome you to join us in any of our activities.

01SFVA Chapter

The San Fernando Valley Alumnae Chapter was chartered May 20, 1978.

The 21 pioneering charter members answered the challenge of combining resources to provide much needed services to the community of the San Fernando Valley. The early social activities included the annual Jabberwock presentation and the Spring ‘Afternoon Delight’ affair which raised funds for scholarships.

We remain committed to the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

02Community Service

The SFVA Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is committed to public service in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, and Burbank areas. With your help, we can make a difference for families and individuals residing in the Valley.

We encourage and welcome involvement in our community service projects. Please visit the site regularly for upcoming events and notices.

The SFVA Deltas is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. 

The sorority currently has 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, West Africa and the Republic of Korea.
