June is National Homeownership Month. Homeownership is the foundation for building wealth and African Americans are far behind. According to the National Urban League’s 2022 annual report on the State of Black Wealth in America, in the second quarter of 2022, the homeownership rate for white households was 75%, 45% of rBlack households, and 48% for Hispanic households.
